Who’s the Boss?- Allentown, PA Family Photographer

8 years ago, I was hired at a small insurance firm in Little Rock, AR.  During my interview, my soon-to-be boss and I discovered that we were both getting married on the same day!

Our families became friends and I worked for him until we moved to NJ 5 years ago.  The day I gave my notice was probably one of the saddest days of my life.  I was not only losing a great employer, but also great friends.

Fast forward to a couple of years ago, when we found out they were moving just a little over an hour away from us!!  We were THRILLED to have a little piece of back home so close!

I was even more excited when, just a few months after their move last year, they asked me to do some family photos for them.   This family, besides being super sweet and genuine, is absolutely STUNNING.  Seriously, the type of family you find featured in prominent society magazines.  They have excellent style and are naturals in front of the camera.   And their little guy is an absolute joy to photograph!   I am so excited to share these here and I hope to be honored to photograph this family many times over.

The Greatest Love- Roxbury, NJ Family Photographer

One of the greatest joys in life is being a mother.  And being the mother to boys carries it’s own special piece of heaven.  The bond that ties a mother and her sons to one another is fierce and heart-wrenching.

It was such a joy to watch my friend, Kiera, and her two boys interact and love on each other at this unique Mommy and Me session.  They were very much all wrapped up in her love.

Where There is Love~ Phillipsburg, NJ Family Photographer

It seems like I’ve been gone awhile since my last post, but nothing could be farther from the truth!  I’m so excited to share all of the amazing babies, families, and bellies that I’ve been honored to capture over the last few months, starting with this one!!

Leslie and I have been best friends for over a decade.  We have experienced each other’s highest and lowest moments and I can honestly say this…this is the happiest I have ever seen her.  She and her family are absolutely incredible and I consider them my family as well.  I will always be Aunt Astin to her babies. 🙂

On a recent trip back home, we got together to get some updated family photos of her, her husband, and their 2 beautiful children.   You can feel the love flowing off of this screen when you see the way they look at each other.

Sibling Love ~ Northern NJ Portrait Photographer, Family Sessions

You may recall a post from a few weeks ago, regarding a mini session?  Unfortunately, there wasn’t much interest, so it didn’t quite happen.  A silver lining to that fact?  This sweet brother and sister!!!    Originally, they were booked for a mini session slot, but big sister wasn’t really a fan of the theme and since they were the only booking…the theme got tossed.   Instead, I had the pleasure of capturing these two in a pure and natural light.

I can tell that they are going to be BEST friends in life.  They are super lucky to have each other. There is nothing better than a sibling.  🙂

The Ayala Files~ Northern NJ Portrait Photographer, Family Session

I have been SO excited to share these photos!  A few weeks ago, a new friend of mine asked me about doing some new family photos for her.  I jumped at the chance!   I know her and her two (zomg, ADORABLE) boys from my local babywearing group and they are just fantastic so I was super excited to meet the rest of the family!

It was a bright and beautiful day and we kicked off the session with a little playground fun while the little ones warmed up to the camera.  Needless to say…their shy streak didn’t last long!
